Fusion IT developed a security and control solution with K2BTools and GeneXus. I found out how they did it.
The system developed for the Bellavista and Zapalinamé Industrial Park in Mexico gained total control of building safety.
IT Fusion has been in the Mexican market for more than 30 years and its objective is to improve the infrastructure of its clients, through the integration of systems in order to offer global and modern solutions to organizations. For its part, Tetakawi makeup, is a company that provides various services under the Shelter Program to foreign companies that wish to manufacture their products in Mexico for subsequent export to the United States and Canada. Maquillas manages several parks, including the Bella Vista Industrial Park, where its offices are located, and the Zapalinamé Industrial Park. These parks are an average of 60 hectares in size and approximately 16,000 visits and scheduled accesses arrive at the property per month, not counting those who work there. The major problem presented by these parks was security, since they did not have efficient access control, nor did they have evidence of what was contained in the trucks entering and leaving the property. So, Fusion IT implemented a solution, and for it he used K2BTools and GeneXus.
Solution
The first security system was carried out in the Bella Vista Industrial Park. The process included a Master Plan in which a first stage was defined to quickly impact the most important problems and from there, the project began, managing to put the first phase into production 3 and a half months later (July 2021). The system was then replicated in Zapalinamé Park, where it began operating in April of this year, and is expected to go into production at the end of 2022 in the Roca Fuerte Industrial Park. The technology used included: GX 17 and K2BTools, creating a Java Web and Mobile environment (Android and IOS). An external storage (S3 from Amazon) for all multimedia and artificial intelligence to detect plates, faces, objects and texts. In addition, drones were used to carry out autonomous rounds (without anyone piloting them). Today, every access and event that occurs in the Industrial Parks is digitized, has real-time evidence and georeferences. Each resident and caretaker has an app that allows them total control and security. Surveillance costs were reduced and OAS certification was achieved.
Sergio Gazzolo, Director of Fusion IT comments: ” as a result, total control of the park's accesses and exits was obtained, controlling permits, evidences, events at all times, automating security patrols and providing real-time information to the park's security and operational areas.”
He also adds: “any event that occurs within the park is digitized and georeferenced for future consultation (...) In short, a correct real-time control of the security of the facilities”.
